It's 1:23am, and I'm sitting here at work with Eve (the name I've chosen for my new kitten) sitting on the desk in front of me, next to the mouse. She's watching me typing at the moment. She's just gotten off my chest where she was sleeping for a while. Oops, now she's climbed back into my lap…
I brought her into work tonight (working from 8pm to 8am) to help the bonding process, and to help ensure she's not alone in my bedroom for so long while I'm out. She's already become attached to me, and vice versa. It's great having something so small to look after, that is dependent on my care.
And wouldn't you know it - I'm working. It's 12:30am on Christmas Day, and instead of being at home in bed, I'm working from 12:30 - 8am. Sometimes I wonder about my state of mind… but then I remember that it looks good in my record, and my employers love me as a result. And I get paid lots of money, so that's all good too.
We all know about Ouija Boards as being the means with which to communicate with spirits. Many HORROR movies have been made about them and yet people still use them.
Basically, Ouija Boards are an uncontrolled ritual that allows a gateway to be opened between the physical world and the lower astral planes.
Let me explain what astral planes are.
Reality is made up of varying levels of existence, with the physical level being the 'lowest' level. The next level is the first of the astral planes. They are levels of vibrational reality that allow for varying levels of existence between physical reality and the highest vibrational level that we ultimately are from and are to return.
I saw Wakana this afternoon. She called me to say hello, to see how I was. She said she didn't want to see me, that she didn't have time as she only had an hour free and she was doing some shopping. I asked her where she was, but she didn't want to tell me. Then the money ran out for the call, as she was calling from a payphone. So I went looking for her.
Existing as beings of energy in a world of energy, we are affected by the energy around us, and affect it in return. Sometimes the energy that affects us isn't a positive energy. It can be simply 'negative', or downright harmful. And sometimes the harmful energy is simply a side effect of events occurring that affect us in a harmful way. Eg. a violent storm knocks over a tree just as we're driving under it, and it crashes down on our car. That's just the energy around us in motion in a way that can be harmful to us. It's not negative, it just is.
First, let's look at what spirituality is. If you do a web search for the definition of spirituality, you come up with hundreds of different definitions. The dictionary I have defines it as: 'concern with things of spirit'. A very simple answer, but 'things of spirit' can certainly be very complex.
Maybe we should look at how I define it, since I'm the one writing this article.
What the heck are psychic vampires, I hear you asking. No, you haven't stepped into some kind of horror website. You've all experienced them, even if you haven't realised it. They are those people around you that suck your energy from you, one way or another. They suck it from you until you've got nothing more to give them, and then they go look for someone else to suck it from.
The reason they're called 'psychic vampires' is because of the 'energy sucking' they do. This is usually done through manipulation of conversation, so that it results in you giving them a lot of attention and energy, and them just happily taking it.
