What, we need big strong men to lead us? ;-)

I think taste in men is just different among women, some like them “dangerous”, some like the mother-in-law dream man type and some like them big, strong and Vin Diesel manly-ish.

I mean, if men are supposed to act in a certain way around women, then women are supposed to act in a certain way around men. Are we not to be too sweet, or too manly?

I wasn’t talking about women needing men to LEAD them. I was talking about women needing their men to be STRONG. A man can be strong without needing to be leading.

Is there much of a difference between ‘dangerous’ and Vin Diesel? He’s the type of man who easily falls into the dangerous category, isn’t he?

Most women don’t want to be with a wimp. And most men don’t want to be with a woman who is too strong. There are certain elements of masculine and feminism which, if they crossover, can create ‘turn offs’. Men mostly like women for their femininity, while women mostly like men for their masculinity.

Wimps aren’t masculine, and as a result, many women are turned off by them.

The article is helping those men who are wimps change their style, if it’s not working for them. If they’re still single and looking, there’s just that remote possibility that they might find a nice woman if they stopped being wimps.

Pretty good post. Definitely agree with the self-respect aspect, Alan: respect yourself, and you give off the vibe that will respect others, men or women. Take it from Aotearoa’s most eligible (and legible, since I used to be a calligrapher) bachelor (now that you are off the market, Aussie)—you’re absolutely right.
