New ‘Reply’ feature in Gmail

It used to be that if you wanted to reply to an email in Gmail, you would click on the ‘Show Details’ link, which then make visible a number of options including Reply, Forward, Reply To All, as well as the details of the sender, etc etc.

I went to my Gmail today to reply to a message. I clicked on ‘Show Details’ as normal, but the options I was expecting weren’t there. It was all the details of the sender, but everything else was missing.

I was confused for a moment, and then I saw a new Reply button:


Next to it is a drop-down arrow leading to the following features:

This makes Gmail look a lot tidier, and seems to also give more features in the drop down list. I like new features that make life just that little bit easier…
