Interesting post over at Instabloke’s blog: History of the Blog: The Evolution of Blogging.
Many have participated in the evolution of the medium and that also includes you and me. What’s more important than who did what is that the idea of blogging remains pure — an empowering technology that ALL of us can benefit from, and it is so much larger than any of it’s parts.

Deidre and I are in Sydney right now, taking it easy and visiting those that we’re close to. We’re here essentially to catch up with her friends and family, but I’ve taken the time to catch up with my friend Peter as well. He was going to run a ‘making wealth’ seminar today, but it was postponed instead. Luckily for me, he took me through it anyway.

This blog has far too much varied content and I’ve known for a while now (you might have even seen me write about it) that in order for a blog to be successful it needs to be focused on specialised topics.

It’s time for me to do what I know.

Yes, I really love America. The country, that is. The people…? I’m not so sure about the Republicans… But the country, I think it has some amazing beauty, which I’ve always wanted to see sometime.
Back when I was a teenager, I used to have a dream of travelling through America, from NYC to LA to Florida to Seattle and then back to NYC. It was a dream of a great American road trip, allowing me to see all the beauty that the country has to offer.

I’m sitting in a small shopping centre at 8:30am, having dropped Deidre off at her new admin job at Canberra Hospital. Yay! One of us has a job now! I’m about to have a coffee while writing in my trusty writing pad, as I wait for a nearby job interview at 10am.
The job is for a small company that does web hosting. I’m applying to join the team that provides support to that service. I think the role would only pay about $40-$50k a year (edit: I overestimated by about $15k….), so I’m not that excited by it. I was when I first applied for it, but yesterday something happened….
