After only a couple of weeks of looking, and the third house we inspected, we found a new place to move into. It’s a little closer to the shopping areas that we usually frequent, and about 10 minutes closer to work for both of us. This is a good thing.
We move in on the first weekend of October, in about 4 weeks from now. We’re really happy that we had two months to find a place, and found one within two weeks, and will be moving into it with two weeks to spare… Plus, we’ve managed to negotiate with the landlord that we don’t have to pay the final two weeks of rent here, which will go towards moving and reconnection costs. Nice.

Here’s the photos of the party we went to Sydney for, the 60th birthday party of one of Deidre’s aunts. The view was fantastic, and I think I took more photos of the view than of the party…

Fake motorcade causes summit stir - CNN.com
Members of an Australian TV comedy show ["The Chaser's War on Everything,"], one of them dressed as Osama bin Laden, drove through two security checkpoints Thursday before being stopped near the Sydney hotel where U.S. President George W. Bush is staying.
Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said the stunt proved security was working.
Really, that’s just ’spin’. If security was working, they simply would have not gotten through the very first checkpoint.

When I discovered I was a Libertarian, everything made sense to me.
“The Libertarian creed rests upon one central axiom: that no man or group of men may aggress against the person or property of anyone else. This may be called the “nonaggression axiom.” “Aggression” is defined as the initiation of the use or threat of physical violence against the person or property of anyone else. Aggression is therefore synonymous with invasion.”

A friend asked me that question today. This was my answer, which I really wanted to include in this blog:
We’re going to Berri, Adelaide and Pt Augusta….
Driving to Berri on Xmas Eve, spend it with my family as well as lunch on Xmas Day. After lunch we’re driving to Adelaide and having dinner with Deidre’s dad. Around lunchtime on the 26th we’re driving up to Pt Augusta and will be there until the 28th, when we’ll drive back to Berri, then back to Canberra on the 29th.
