If you go with Princess Cruise, you’re likely to be screwed. If you’re like the little ol’ lady in the story, they’ll book your flights so you miss them, then they’ll keep the money for the flights that the airlines refund. They’ll also keep the money for the cruise you missed. And they won’t give you another cruise.
TAXATION Most people want to pay less taxes but receive more. This is impossible. The only way we can provide more to society is by paying more, and so I would increase taxes. GST will be increased on those goods that are actually harmful to a person’s health, eg. smoking and alcohol. If they’re going to harm themselves, then they’ll have to pay more towards the eventual health care that will be a result. Income tax will be increased in order to accommodate changes to the welfare system (eg. a new tax called ‘welfare insurance’) and the transport system. Where the government has been responsible for mismanagement, the new government using these policies will be more open and accountable for responsible management of government income to improve all aspects of New Zealand.
Well, it’s been over a week since I last updated this. That’s quite unusual these days. I can’t say I’ve been too busy, but I’ve certainly been distracted.
Work has gotten a little busier. It’s a busy 2-person job which has been dealt with just by me for a couple of weeks, so it got busier than usual. A new guy has started last week though, but there’s going to be a bit of a learning curve for him as he gets up to speed, so I’ll be taking the majority of the work.

Our assets decreasing that much was due to our cash supply being used to fund lifestyle choices instead of assets. Yes, we’ll be getting that back under control quicksmart.
Going backwards is not acceptable, so I’ve spent some time yesterday working on a budget for Deidre and I, which I intend making sure we both stick to. Only positive increases in our net worth is acceptable, so we’ll be working on that in the future.
