By relationship, I mean two people coming together in love, choosing to spend their lives together as a couple, partners in crime, all that kind of thing.

In my ‘life of research and practice’, I’ve come to the conclusion that the most important qualities in a lasting relationship are:

• Hard work
• Commitment
• Honesty
• Openness
• Understanding
• Love

Some time ago I did a test and found out that I was a Hermit. You can see it here. I thought I’d do the test again to see if I’ve changed, and it seems that I have. What I find interesting is that the card reflects some of what I feel is my purpose this year. Nice!

New beginnings

This is my first real post on this new blog that’s using Wordpress. All the other posts previous to this have been imported.

I’ve had some real frustrating challenges with this new blog and new domain over the past week or so. I was originally going to set it up with some very good people who own an ISP in the US, and so I began the technical issues with them. However, my friend Ken in NZ decided to get his own hosting setup, so I went with him instead. This meant having to change the technical issues to go with him instead of the others.

If you have a look up there in the address bar, you’ll notice that this site is no longer alanzeyes.blogspot.com but is instead www.alanzeyes.com

That’s right, I got myself a domain name.

There’ll be a few more changes coming up in the near future as well. Namely, I intend transferring this site over to a new Wordpress blog.

More updates will be coming.

UPDATE:

Due to various issues with domain redirection and nameservers, the new domain is not working for everyone. As a result, I have taken the new domain offline until I get it resolved. I apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing, and I hope that these issues will soon be resolved. Thank you.

I received word today that a job interview I had just before xmas has resulted in positive developments. It looks like I’ve got the job! I’m having a meeting with them tomorrow afternoon to sort out the details, and I’ll have some more to write about after that.

I’m pretty happy about this, as I’ve pretty much been looking for some more work since the end of November. Luckily I was still working right up until xmas, so I’ve effectively been out of work for about 3 weeks. I’m glad I’ve got something to move on to.

Yesterday I had a bit of a dummy spit concerning this blog, new templates, blogger’s server problems, and accidentally deleting my old template…

Well, today’s a new day and all the problems of yesterday are gone. Blogger fixed their server problems, and I found a new template which I like the looks of. If you’re reading this via RSS or email, then please visit the site to have a look at it.

I decided not to worry about continuing this blog via Wordpress. It’ll just be too difficult to change over at this stage.
