Yes, and our reaction to someone else is based entirely on how we choose to react, and not because they make us react with anger, etc. By being aware of how we're feeling and why, we can choose different reactions instead of giving over to the default reaction of blaming someone else...

I know not everyone has an easy or 'better' life (and am aware that 'better' is entirely subjective!). I'm grateful for what I have that allows me to experience what others can't... And when I say I seek a better life, I'm seeking a life that's better than what I've had before, or what I have now. The eternal path to perfection, never realised, but enjoying the journey along the way.

By learning how to observe our own emotions, we learn to be separate from our emotions. Thus, as you say, if someone is "making us angry or frustrated," it may not because of anything they might be doing that upsets us, it may because we've had a bad day. I like your idea of making life easier and better. In many ways new technologies certainly have made some aspects of our lives easier and better, but in terms of quality of life, maybe not necessarily so.
