Back to Australia…
Yesterday I booked my tickets for a week in Australia. I'm leaving here on the 26th November and flying to Sydney, where I'll stay for a couple days with my friend Peter. I'll be getting there late afternoon, and flying onto Canberra late afternoon on the 28th. Peter has always been complaining that I've just been using him as a stopover every time I've been back to Australia, and this has been true. I've been staying with him briefly and also catching up with others while I've been in Sydney. This time around will be different, as I'm going to be spending two quality days with him, without distractions. I know it's not very long, but it'll be long enough for us. I'm spending 6 days in Canberra, before flying on to Melbourne on the 3rd December and staying overnight with Tricia, and meeting up with Sally the next morning, before I return to Wellington.
Travelling to a wedding in Canberra
I've just completed catching up with this website, making sure that I've updated it with the story of my Queenstown trip and adding photos as well. Click on Previous (below) to read all about it.
The latest news is that it's been confirmed – I have had my contract extended for another month at work, so I'm pretty happy about that. I'm hoping they'll love me so much that they'll extend it forever… or take me on permanently.
Michelle and I have been having a few rough spots lately, mainly with communication problems, but we're sorting that out. We're too important to each other to let go so easily… I'm pretty confident that things are just going to get better and better, especially since it's so obvious to both her and I that we are completely committed to each other, and to making things work between us.
The silent symphony
Sometimes a person comes into our life who brings us something we have been missing. Sometimes we realise this and embrace it, other times we fail to notice and ignore it. We don't mean to do it, it just happens.
Someone has come into my life who has shown me something of what I've been missing out on. It's happened quite innocently and maybe even inadvertently, but it's happened nevertheless.
I went for a walk tonight, alongside a lake. It's a nice lake, and it's a nice night. I have never done it before – at least not of a night.
It was with a woman. I'll call her Miss X. I met her a week or so ago, when she came into ORAC. Scot told me later that she was interested in getting some web designing done, so I contacted her and introduced myself for that purpose. The strangest thing has happened though… We've been speaking a lot on ICQ, and she's told me a lot of herself, and vice versa. I've learnt that she has spiritual and ethical values similar to mine, so we've had plenty to talk about.
